6 STARS!!!!! Lets get this out of the way first - Tony AKA DJ Xia is an EXCELLENT DJ and he helped us host the exact wedding reception we... read more wanted. Tony was able to tap into the 'vibes' (for lack of a better word) better than any DJ we have ever experienced. His energy was able to get our older family out on the dance floor and KEEP our younger friends on the dance floor for the entire reception. He listened to our song recommendations and music taste (and that of our very eclectic family) while taking the load off of us as a couple by making those recommendations his own with fun remixes, favorites from similar eras and artists, and dialing in contemporary hits to reenergize our guests at exactly the right time. Every single guest we have talked to about the reception has remarked on the amazing Cutmaster team's energy. You could not ask for a better DJ. Now lets talk about what makes Cutmaster and specifically Tony a 6 star experience. They went above and beyond with MC duties for the entire day. This started at the ceremony with audio equipment for our musicians/officiant, continued to providing audio equipment for our dinner (in a totally new location), and finally a whole THIRD audio/visual set up in our reception/dance location. Beyond just the equipment, they were able to make the announcements we wanted and keep our wedding flowing. There is so much to pack into one night and as the couple getting married you are often off on your own doing something (photos, cake cutting, etc...) and all the while we didn't have to worry about managing guests because the Cutmaster team had the schedule and helped get our guests to where we wanted them to be. The team was attentive to what we expressly didn't want at our wedding, such as open mics for toasts and certain songs. They were polite to any guests who asked for those things, but made sure that our requests were honored. The Cutmaster team was also prepared and fantastic at adapting to changes. We expected to have a band play during our cocktail hour and that band never showed up! Cutmaster was light on their feet and didn't miss a single beat to start playing backup music (in the same style of our hired band). Our guests said they didn't even notice that there was no band! Our dinner and reception also had RAIN and the Cutmaster team was ready to handle the weather situation without missing a beat. We cannot recommend Cutmaster enough because they gave us so much more than just a DJ. They provide so much more than audio equipment and cool lighting displays. They bring the energy, they bring the experience, they bring professionalism, and so much more to the table. The Cutmaster team was a huge part of giving us the wedding of our dreams. We gave Chris a collection of Persian music and he seamlessly incorporated these songs with other dance music we requested (early 2000s hip hop, disco, electronic etc.).
