Ballrooms, a chapel, and outdoor spaces at Old Town — and how we set up sound across each of them.
Few places capture New Mexico's character like Hotel Albuquerque at Old Town. From its ballrooms to its outdoor spaces, this venue sets the stage well — and we've been part of a lot of great nights here.
The spaces
The Franciscan Ballroom
One of the venue's most popular reception spaces — high ceilings, chandeliers, and a classic feel that makes a great backdrop to dinner and dancing. The room comes alive once the floor opens up.
The Outdoor Pavilion
A covered, open-air space for couples who want the fresh air without giving up structure. A popular pick for receptions or cocktail hours with a more relaxed, festive feel.
The larger ballrooms
For bigger guest counts, the larger ballrooms give more room to design the night exactly as planned — formal seated dinners, high-energy dance floors, or extras like photo booths and lounge areas.
The San José Chapel
A smaller, more traditional space for couples who want an intimate, historic setting to say their vows before moving into one of the reception spaces nearby.

How we set up sound here
With a range of room sizes — from the more intimate Franciscan Ballroom to the larger, higher-ceilinged rooms — getting the sound right matters. Our line array system fills the room evenly, so speeches stay clear and the music hits the same whether you're at the head table or the back of the dance floor.
Many couples host the ceremony outdoors and move the reception inside, and we handle that transition end to end, from ceremony mics to the first song of the night.
A moment worth remembering
One of the more memorable nights we've been part of here opened with a Soul Train line — the wedding party and couple came down the line showing off their best moves while guests cheered them on. The energy carried through the entire night from that first minute.
