5 things to ponder about your wedding day

Hi All! #WeddingTipsTuesdays is your newsletter of 5 tips, hacks, tricks and helpful tidbits to help your wedding planning. If there’s anything you would like for us to tackle, please let me know. Enjoy this week’s hacks and thoughts!

  • What I’m listening to when I workout

If you’re working out trying to get in shape for your wedding, here’s a fun throwback mix that blends classic tracks with a new sound and keeps it upbeat for your run, pump sesh, or the elliptical machine. https://www.mixcloud.com/chris-romero/then-now/

  • Contemplating debt on your wedding day?

The average couple takes out a loan of $11,000 for the wedding day. The average wedding will run you $39,000. My financial advisor would probably say this isn’t a very wise move toward added wealth since there is little to no monetary return on this “investment.” But we know a wedding is not about making money, it’s about making memories. So, what can you do to minimize the cost? It’s pretty easy. PRIORITIZE, PRIORITIZE, and PRIORITIZE! Unless you have an unlimited budget, you need to know the elements of your day that mean the most to you and will have the greatest impact on your guests. This is different for every couple. Make that list of priorities and assign budget PERCENTAGES accordingly. Don’t put dollars to the list at first, because you will almost always spend more than you originally budget for. The important part is the percentage value and trying to stick to that.

  • Something interesting, weird, creepy, yet GENIUS!

Did you know you can hire your own bridesmaid? Uh….what? Jen Glantz runs Bridesmaid For Hire. She becomes integrated into your wedding party to take care of all the “dirty work” on your wedding day, so you and your ‘real friends’ can completely enjoy the day and experience. The business model is super interesting and could be super beneficial to the right couple.
