What can we say? We love Los Poblanos Weddings!
Los Poblanos feels like our second home. In 2017 we had a stretch of 8 straight weeks that Cutmaster Music played at this gorgeous venue. This spotlight is going to tell you a little about the space, how we utilize it, and some of the reasons we are the preferred DJs of Los Poblanos.

The Portal
We start with the area you first see as you walk into the entertainment area of the property, the Portal, or as we call it… the Pool Area. Its a large space with tall features and a patio area which is utilized for ceremonies in the fall and winter, or for dinner during the spring and summer. It really is a magic area that sometimes invites some of the property animals such as the Guinea Hens, sometimes Canadian Geese, or if you’re lucky, the Peacocks.
The Library
This is the most interesting room in the venue. It’s perfect for cocktail hour and often utilized for the cake cutting during your reception. We like to do a little bit on social media each time we’re here, called ‘What strange things can we find in the library today?’ If one spends enough time in the space, you can find everything from neat books, games, to interesting figurines and pictures. It really is a mysterious wonderland of cool artifacts. This area is perfect for our brand new Magic Mirror Photobooth, which provides a super classy picture taking experience.
Ceremony Areas
Los Poblanos is unique in the Albuquerque wedding scene, in that it allows multiple indoor and outdoor spaces. You can choose from a few different spots, including gardens and lawns to have your dream wedding. Cutmaster Music typically provides a nice sound and microphone package and can take care of any music coordination needed for your ceremony.
The Grand Salon
This is the room where all the good vibes take place. In the winter, we usually use the ballroom for dinner, then turn over the room and convert the space to an amazing dance floor experience. We like to utilize our Signature Experience with uplighting to nicely accent the space. During dinner, we’ll typically use nice natural or amber tones, then completely transform the area with our dance floor lighting experience, providing and amazing experience that your guests will never forget. Our goal is to give your guests the best Los Poblanos DJ experience that we can without taking away from the natural beauty of the spot.
The Amenities
This venue comes with many cool features that others don’t provide. Let’s talk about the staff and the food.
The staff is second to none. You essentially have a built in planner and coordinator with the amazing Shaelyn Hesch. From start to finish they are there every step of the way making sure you have the right vendor team and superb coordination the day of your wedding. Cutmaster Music works seamlessly with Los Poblanos and is comfortable and familiar with the system of running private events.
The food is in another ballpark people! We are super lucky in that the vendors always get to eat at our Los Poblanos events. And I can say I don’t think I’ve ever had the same meal. Chef uses ingredients straight from the farm and changes up the menu from season to season. My only complaint is that we can’t have seconds, thirds and fourths when eating because it really is THAT GOOD.
The Overall Experience Is an A+
We’ve had the pleasure of working private events and weddings at Los Poblanos for over a decade and still get super excited every time a couple books our services for this magic spot in the heart of the North Valley. One of the things I love most is that even though the spot stays the same, every wedding reception is different. I always look forward to seeing the perfect touches each bride puts on this spot. From floral arrangements, to unique photo layouts and musical twists on the formalities of the evening, Cutmaster Music loves the role we get to play in every Los Poblanos event.
