5 things to ponder about your wedding day

• We’re pondering how many wedding vendors you need

You need exactly 14! Ok, there might be less and might be more. But this article explains crucial vendors and the pros and cons to hiring them.       

• Let’s discuss some wedding shoe hacks

1. Resist the rub and create barriers to friction. HACK: rub deodorant or some vasoline on the inside of your shoe where rubbing might occur.
2. Don’t SWEAT the small stuff. HACK: for sweating, rub talcum or baby powder in your shoe (after doing hack #1)
3. Get the real stuff! Leather! You might be tempted to go with feux leather, but it’s essentially plastic, which rubs! It’ll cost more, but real leather over time will mold better to your feet and last longer.
4. Don’t sink! If you are having an outdoor wedding, beware of soft ground as your heels will sink in. Get some of these to prevent those heels from digging in and they’ll keep your shoes clean.

• We’re contemplating wedding disasters turned awesomeness

You’ve spent hundreds of hours planning the perfect day. The day comes and the powers that be have other plans. What do you do? You MAKE THE BEST OF IT of course! This article is the perfect example of wedding plans gone awry by weather. But instead of lemons…errrr snow… this couple created amazing photo opportunities and moments for their big day.  PRO TIP: Don’t get so caught up in details that you don’t enjoy the best day of your life. Roll with it. Things happen and sometimes we can’t control them. But there are things we can control and there’s almost always a way to turn potential pitfalls into unthought-of moments and memories. Make it the best day NO MATTER WHAT.
